Mutant Madness Ingredient Profile
Beta-Alanine
Beta-Alanine is a non-proteinogenic amino acid. It combines with the amino acid histidine to create the dipeptide carnosine. Beta-Alanine works indirectly by increasing the levels of carnosine in your body. This is important because carnosine reduces lactic acid buildup and lowers fatigue. This means you can knock out more reps and sets than you ever thought possible. (1)
L-Citrulline DL-Malate
This is a 50/50 blend that combines citrulline and malic acid. First, citrulline is a non-essential amino acid that converts into arginine once it’s in the body. Arginine stimulates nitric oxide production for increased blood flow and crazy pumps. The main benefit of citrulline is that, because of its superior absorption, it does a better job than arginine does. Malate, also known as malic acid, is part of the TCA cycle, which creates about two-thirds of ATP energy. That’s the energy that powers you through your workouts. Citrulline Malate promotes monster pumps and stimulates ATP production for greater endurance. (2)
Taurine
Technically, taurine is not an amino acid, it’s an amino sulfonic acid. It’s found in high concentrations in the muscles, eyes, heart, and brain. Taurine has a number of benefits, including regulating minerals, supporting the central nervous system, and promoting cognitive function. Perhaps most important to bodybuilders, taurine is an osmolyte that pulls water into the muscles for hyper-hydration and cell volume or water-based pumps. (3, 4, 5)
Caffeine Anhydrous
One serving of MUTANT MADNESS provides a whopping 350 mg of caffeine. Of course, caffeine is a super-popular energy and alertness amplifier. Everybody loves caffeine! Besides energy, it also supports overall workout performance and thermogenesis. (6)
L-Tyrosine
This ingredient improves mental function and enhances focus. It’s an amino acid that is involved in the production of two neurotransmitters: dopamine and norepinephrine. These neurotransmitters promote alertness and motivation. (7)
L-Theanine
This compound is typically paired with caffeine. That’s because theanine helps to smooth out the effects of caffeine for no jitters and no crash energy. The combination of theanine and caffeine also elevates mood and improves mental performance. (8)
Lion's Mane Mushroom Powder
Lion’s Mane is a mushroom with an extended history of use in traditional Asian medicine. It promotes cognitive function and health. Lion’s Mane also acts as a neuroprotectant, helps relieve stress, and supports memory improvement. The primary active ingredients are called glycoproteins, hericerins, erinacines, erinacea lactones, and polysaccharides (or beta-glucans). Also, lion’s mane has a high content of vitamins and minerals. (9)
BioPerine Black Pepper Extract
This is a common nutrient absorption aid. It dramatically improves the absorption of the nutrients it's paired with.
What’s The Best Way To Use Madness?
If you’re using MUTANT MADNESS for the first time, take a half-serving mixed with 8 oz cold water 20 to 30 minutes before your workout. Once you’ve determined your tolerance, take a full serving of MADNESS with 8 oz cold water 20 to 30 minutes prior to your workout. In both cases, you can use more or less water to taste.
Stack It!
MUTANT recommends stacking MUTANT MADNESS with a creatine formula such as MUTANT CREAKONG. Stacking MADNESS with a creatine product supports the strength, power, and cell volume benefits you need during your workouts.
