In general, the purchaser buys shipping insurance to protect their order, for example, if they are in a location where delivered packages are less secure or had problems with deliveries in the past.
File Claims Sooner Rather Than Later
Once you find out that your shipment is damaged, or lost, it is advisable to let us know as soon as possible. For domestic packages, you must notify us within 15 days of the order. For International packages you must notify us within 45 days of the order.
The typical timeline for processing a claim includes searching for the lost package, which can take 7 to 10 business days. If the package is not located, the whole process then unfolds quickly; most cases get resolved within 3-5 business days.
