There’s little doubt that most bodybuilders and athletes understand the importance of testosterone and its relation to muscle growth. Indeed, increasing natural levels of testosterone to where it helps you build mass and increase strength can be difficult. This is where Competitive Edge Labs M-Test enters the picture.
What is M-Test? It’s a complete, advanced testosterone booster that features full disclosure labeling, patented, clinically studied ingredients, and clinical dosing. There are also well-dosed supporting ingredients that enhance the effectiveness of the formula. The benefits of Competitive Edge Labs M-Test are second to none: lean muscle growth, increased strength, greater power output, enhanced endurance, and increased sex drive.
Competitive Edge Labs M-Test – A Multi-Faceted Approach to Increased Testosterone Production
Increasing levels of usable testosterone is not as easy as simply producing more total testosterone. That’s because of limiting factors that regulate how much of the increased levels will be usable for muscle growth. It’s not simply the total amount of testosterone your body can produce that’s important. It’s the total amount of usable, or free testosterone. Why? That’s what your body will use for muscle growth. The amount of usable testosterone is much less than the amount of total testosterone. In fact, approximately 2%, in free, or available, for muscle growth. The trick is getting the absolute maximum of that approximate 2%.
That’s not all. If you want optimal results, you need to inhibit destructive hormones such as cortisol that can derail the process of muscle growth. This is the reason Competitive Edge Labs M-Test uses a multi-faceted approach. M-Test contains a very precise combination of active ingredients that work together to promote increased testosterone production by using multiple pathways.
These pathways include:
- Increasing Levels of Total Testosterone
- Decreasing Cortisol Levels
- Optimizing Levels of Free Testosterone
- Decreasing Estrogen Levels
- Increases in Luteinizing Hormone (LH)
By using multiple pathways, Competitive Edge Labs M-Test formula provides a complete approach to increasing the natural production of testosterone.
Competitive Edge Labs M-Test - What It Isn’t And What It Is
M-Test is much more than those “kitchen sink” test boosters that contain low dosages and lots of hype. They fall woefully short of the most important thing – results! M-Test uses clinical dosing of proven active ingredients only. That’s part of our full spectrum approach to increasing testosterone production. Our goal with Competitive Edge Labs M-Test was to create the most effective, most comprehensive natural testosterone booster currently on the market!
Competitive Edge Labs M-Test Ingredient Highlights:
Fadogia Agrestis
This ingredient is an herb that originated in Africa. It has a long history of use as a male aphrodisiac. Preliminary animal research has suggested that it can increase levels of testosterone as well as enhance sex drive. Studies suggest it’s the saponin content of fadogia that causes this benefit. It works by increasing luteinizing hormone (LH) in the body. Typically, luteinizing hormone is released to keep levels of testosterone in a specific range. As the luteinizing hormone increases, production of testosterone production also increases. (1, 2)
Divana-Plex Urtica Dioica
This ingredient comes from urtica dioica (also known as stinging nettle). Divana-Plex is a proprietary extract that’s been standardized to provide a full spectrum of bioactive compounds. These compounds include 3,4-Divanillyltetrahydrofuran, Neoolivil, (-)-Secoisolariciresinol, Dehydrodiconiferyl Alcohol, and Isolariciresinol. Urtica dioica contains lignans that will attach to sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG). This in turn blocks SHBG from binding to its own receptor, which allows more free testosterone to become available. (3)
Free Testosterone
Let’s take a closer look at free testosterone. In fact, this is where Competitive Edge Labs M-Test really shines! Increasing free, or usable, testosterone is crucial. That’s because it’s what your body uses for muscle growth. In fact, the amount of free, or usable, testosterone is responsible for all of testosterone’s anabolic effects. So it’s not how much total testosterone can be produced, it’s how much of the available or free testosterone can be used. As mentioned, the amount of free testosterone to total testosterone is minimal, about 2-3% of total testosterone. The remaining 97-98% of testosterone produced by your body is “bound”, or unavailable. It’s not involved in the process of muscle growth. (4)
DHT
Urtica Dioica has also been shown to support prostate health. Dihydrotestosterone, or DHT, is a metabolite of testosterone. It stimulates the growth of your prostate. This leads to several negative effects including prostate problems and balding. Plus, Urtica Dioica inhibits DHT, which helps prevent it from attaching to various sites near the prostate. In addition, urtica dioica also inhibits the 5-alpha reductase enzyme, That’s important because this enzyme controls the conversion of testosterone to DHT. (5)
KSM-66® Ashwagandha Root Extract
At the time of its release, this impressive ingredient had been In development for over 10 years. KSM-66 is a premium quality Ashwagandha extract that is manufactured by Ixoreal Biomed. Generally speaking, ashwagandha is an adaptogenic herb that is used to help ease stress and lower anxiety. In addition, it is capable of improving the quality of semen. It does this by increasing serum levels of testosterone and luteinizing hormone (LH).
At the same time, it decreases follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) levels. KSM-66 Ashwagandha also promotes reduced cortisol levels in the body. Of course, cortisol is rightly known as a very destructive catabolic hormone that can decrease the production of testosterone, thereby derailing its anabolic processes. (6, 7, 8, 9)
Eurycoma Longifolia
This ingredient is also called Long Jack or Tongkat Ali. It’s an herb that originates in Southeast Asia. Like most herbal extracts, it has an extended history of use in traditional medicine. In this case, it’s used as a natural testosterone booster. As well, it promotes more energy and increased sex drive.
Eurycoma contains glycoprotein and eurypeptide, this is considered to be what’s responsible for enhancing sexual health. Additionally, increasing luteinizing hormone and free testosterone is considered to be the reason for its ability to enhance testosterone.
Clinical research backs up these theories, with several clinical trials using human test subjects having been conducted on eurycoma. These studies indicate that eurycoma can increase lean muscle and strength. (10, 11)
PrimaVie® Shilajit Extract
This is a clinically proven, superior-quality extract that originated in the Himalayas. It has been shown in clinical studies to significantly increase both free and total levels of testosterone. As well, it has been shown to reduce fatigue and increase physical performance. (12)
Boron Citrate
Boron is an important trace mineral that has been clinically shown to increase both free and total levels of testosterone. In addition, it has been shown to decrease excess levels of estrogen. No wonder it's included in Competitive Edge labs M-Test!
There have been several studies conducted on boron. One seven-day clinical study used eight healthy male test subjects. They gave each test subject 10 mg. of boron per day. These test subjects showed significant increases in free, or usable, testosterone levels (28%). Also, they experienced lower estrogenic activity (39%). This was measured by a substantial reduction in estradiol after only seven days. (13)
Mucuna Pruriens
Here’s an adaptogenic herb that supports increased LH (Luteinizing Hormone). This leads to increased testosterone production and stimulation of both GH and testosterone release.
