Supplement Spotlight: Bucked Up LFG Burn Pre-Workout

DAS Labs LFG Burn

In this edition of Supplement Spotlight, we will look at Bucked Up (DAS Labs) LFG Burn. Here’s a Pre that thinks it’s a fat burner. So if you’re looking for greater workout performance and one of your primary goals is fat loss, LFG Burn is the Pre-Workout for you!

What Is LFG Burn?

Bucked Up LFG Burn is a balanced pre-workout that emphasizes fat loss. This formula features two powerfully effective fat loss ingredients. Plus, there’s caffeine anhydrous. Besides energy and alertness, caffeine acts as a thermogenic. This formula improves overall exercise performance. That means it will enhance energy, focus, pumps, and endurance. The fact that it also helps the body burn fat makes it the pre-workout of choice for anyone trying to lose excess body fat and get in better shape.

Is It DAS Labs Or Is It Bucked Up?

So, which is it? DAS Labs or Bucked Up? You will see the name of this company on our site, and many other websites, as DAS Labs. Yet if you look at their products, you will see the company name “Bucked Up”. If you go to their website (buckedup.com), you will be hard-pressed to find a reference to the name “DAS Labs”.

Yet, you just have to look a little deeper. In the “About Us” section, there is at least one mention of the name “DAS Labs”. If you visit their social media sites, you will see more references to the name “DAS Labs”. Yet, all their labels use “Bucked Up” as the brand name. Perhaps DAS Labs is the parent company, and Bucked Up is its primary division.

Regardless, we will call this company Bucked Up in this Supplement Spotlight. Be aware that the name “DAS Labs” is interchangeable.

Let’s Look At The Ingredients

Ok, with that out of the way, here are the ingredients:

Beta-Alanine – 3,200 mg

This has become an industry standard, and you will find it in the majority of pre-workouts. You will also find varying doses. This is due to its harmless but unenjoyable side effects, specifically tingling and itching. They are temporary and will go away, especially if you drink water. Nonetheless, some users just don’t want to deal with these effects, so many products underdose beta-alanine to limit these side effects. Not Bucked Up! LFG Burn features the full 3.2g dose.

Nitrosigine™ – 1,500 mg

This is a very effective patented nitric oxide-boosting ingredient. The two primary compounds are arginine and silicon. These are in a blend. From there, this ingredient includes potassium and myo-inositol, a sugar that stabilizes the primary ingredients. Nitrosigineworks by increasing blood levels of arginine within 30 minutes of consumption. Also, and this is a huge benefit, it keeps blood levels of arginine elevated for as long as 6 hours. How’s that for a great pump? (1, 2)

Caffeine Anhydrous – 300 mg

Of course, caffeine is the most commonly used stimulant on the planet. You’ll find it in most, if not all, stim-based pre-workouts as well as thermogenic pre-workouts. We know caffeine increases energy and alertness. We also know it improves performance. Beyond that, caffeine stimulates thermogenesis. (3, 4)

MitoBurn™ (L-BAIBA) – 250 mg

Here’s the first fat loss-specific ingredient. L-BAIBA is a compound produced by the muscles during exercise. It’s a metabolite of the BCAA L-valine. During training, L-BAIBA is triggered by the PGC-1α protein, which supports healthy mitochondria. Increased levels of L-BAIBA are associated with several of the benefits of exercise.

For example, L-BAIBA helps control metabolism, increase energy expenditure, and manage the body’s use of fuel. Also, L-BAIBA is believed to initiate the “browning” of white adipose tissue. Brown adipose tissue (B.A.T.) is thought to increase energy expenditure, improve insulin sensitivity, and regulate fat loss. (5)

AlphaSize® Alpha GPC 50%  – 200 mg

This is 40% choline by weight and one of the best versions of choline you can use. It’s able to cross the blood-brain barrier. AlphaSize® Alpha GPC promotes increased acetylcholine levels, especially in the brain’s frontal cortex. That’s where the processes of motor function and attention span and motor function take place. In addition, acetylcholine is a neurotransmitter that helps establish the all-important mind-muscle connection, which is critical for an effective workout. In addition, it has a major role in memory, cognitive enhancement, and increased attention. (6)

Mucuna pruriens Extract (98% L-Dopa) – 100 mg

Mucuna pruriens extract is a source of velvet bean. It contains l-dopa, which is a precursor to the neurotransmitter dopamine. This is a neurotransmitter that controls reward, motivation, and motor function. It also improves mood and elevates focus.

AstraGin®  – 25 mg

This is a patented absorption enhancer that consists of highly purified panax notoginseng and astragalus membranaceus fractions. It’s produced by an advanced pharmaceutical extraction and processing technology. Of course, improved absorption is critical to the effectiveness of any supplement. (7)

Paradoxine (Grains of Paradise) – 10 mg

Paradoxine, or Grains of Paradise, is believed to activate the effects of B.A.T. or brown adipose tissue. This means it will work synergistically with MitoBurn to promote fat loss. One of the things B.A.T. does is help maintain body temperature in a cold environment by activating thermogenesis. B.A.T. also burns more calories than regular fat. (8)

Huperzine A – 200 mcg

Huperzine is an ingredient that will elevate focus and enhance cognitive function. It works by extending the effects of acetylcholine in the brain. Therefore, it will work synergistically with mucuna pruriens extract. (9)

How Do I Use It?

As always, when using a stim-based pre-workout, you should start with a half-serving to determine your level of tolerance. This is not a heavy stim-based Pre, so you should be able to tolerate it with no problems. Once you have determined your tolerance, move up to a full serving. Advanced users can start off with a full serving. Make sure you mix it with plenty of water, at least 10-12oz.

What Can I Stack It With?

To make the most of your fat loss efforts, add a thermogenic, such as the best-selling Hi-Tech Lipodrene.

Some users may wish to add an EAA/BCAA formula, such as 5% Nutrition All Day You May. This will help the body stay anabolic. This is important because training is catabolic. While not a direct fat-burning effect, offsetting catabolism means you will hang onto your muscle mass; That’s important if you’re restricting your calories.
