Supplement Spotlight: Gaspari Nutrition SuperPump Aggression

Gaspari Nutrition Superpump Aggression

There’s nothing quite like a great pre-workout. I have said many times, it should be a foundational supplement. No doubt, there are a lot of pre-workouts available, with more coming out seemingly every day. You can take your pick but if you want a potent high-stim Pre that ramps up workout aggression, check out Gaspari Nutrition SuperPump Aggression. Let’s find out more!

What Is Gaspari SuperPump Aggression?

The original Gaspari SuperPump 250 was one of the earliest pre-workout supplements. Let me tell you, the field was much smaller back then! Pre-workouts have come a long way since those early days. Now, over 2 decades later, we have the latest in a long line of great Gaspari pre-workouts: SuperPump Aggression!

Let’s Look At The Ingredients

Gaspari Nutrition SuperPump Aggression features full disclosure labeling and effective dosing. Don’t be fooled by pre-workouts that are long on hype and short on potency and labeling. SuperPump Aggression puts pre-workouts like that to shame.

Here are the ingredients:

L-Citrulline – 4,000mg

Citrulline stimulates nitric oxide production which in turn stimulates the pump. It’s an amino acid that converts into arginine once it’s in the body. The advantage of citrulline over regular arginine is that it’s better absorbed than arginine. Citrulline actually does a better job of acting like arginine than arginine itself does. Wild, right? Citrulline is very highly rated and is often the main pump ingredient in many pre-workouts. (1, 2, 3)

Beta Alanine – 3,200mg

You might know this ingredient for its effects of tingling and itching. It also indirectly helps you get more reps and sets by increasing levels of carnosine in the body. This buffers lactic acid so you can push your sets farther. It also causes that annoying but temporary and harmless tingling and itching. While it doesn’t bother some lifters, there are a lot of lifters that just don’t like it. This has caused some supplement manufacturers to lower the harmless side effects by lowering the dose. If you want to use an effective pre-workout, it should include the clinical dose of beta alanine. Remember that a glass of water and a little time will ease the tingling and itching effect. (4)

Agmatine Sulfate – 1,500mg

This is a very popular pump ingredient that supports increased levels of nitric oxide. It also supports water based-pumps by increasing the body’s retention of water. (5)

L-Tyrosine – 1,500mg

Tyrosine plays an important role in dopamine and norepinephrine production. That’s two neurotransmitters that enhance focus and elevate mood, while also easing anxiety. (6)

Caffeine Anhydrous – 400mg

I think we can safely say that most people understand what caffeine is and what it does. Energy, improved mental performance, thermogenesis, and caffeine seems to do it all. Of course, we want it in our pre-workout!

N-Palmitoylethanolamide – 300mg

Also known as PEA, this is a fatty acid derivative that’s believed to help ease pain. It’s also thought to improve mood and ease anxiety. It seems to do this by neurotransmitter signaling. This stimulates the release of GABA, serotonin, and dopamine.

Theobromine – 200mg

This ingredient smooths out the effects of caffeine, in this case, the 400 mg of fast-acting caffeine anhydrous.

Choline Bitartrate – 100mg

Choline is an acetylcholine precursor. Acetylcholine is a neurotransmitter that elevates mood and enhances memory. It also helps promote the fabled mind-muscle connection. That’s the mental connection you should have with your working muscles during every training session. It can be the difference between a waste of time workout and a great one. (7)

DMAE  – 100mg

DMAE is a choline molecule that supports cognitive health and function. It also acts as a neuroprotectant. (8)

BioPerine Black Pepper Extract  – 5mg

This is a common absorption enhancer that’s used in most sports nutrition supplements.

Rauwolfia Vomitoria Extract (std. min. 90% Rauwolscine) – 3mg

Very similar to Yohimbe, rauwolfia acts as a stimulant and mood enhancer. It also can help burn body fat. Finally, it’s an aphrodisiac. (9)

Huperzia Serrata Extract (std. min. 1% Huperzine A) – 2mg

This ingredient improves focus and indirectly increases levels of acetylcholine. It does this by blocking an enzyme called acetylcholinesterase. That’s the enzyme that controls the breakdown of acetylcholine. By inhibiting this enzyme, more acetylcholine is available for cognitive benefits. (10)

How Do I Use It?

As always, when using a high stim-based pre-workout like Gaspari Nutrition SuperPump Aggression Pre-Workout, you should begin with a half-serving to determine your tolerance level. Once you have determined your tolerance, move up to a full serving. If you are an advanced user, you can start off with a full serving. Make sure you mix it with plenty of water, at least 10-12oz.

What Can I Stack It With?

You can stack a pre-workout with anything. As I have said many times, a pre-workout is a cornerstone product in your supplement arsenal.

As far as what else you could add to SuperPump Aggression, try the following:

Many high-stim pre-workouts fall a little short when it comes to pump ingredients. While SuperPump Aggression is a little better than most, you can still add a pump-based pre-workout. This will enhance the pump and performance. A good choice would be 5% Nutrition Full As F*ck.

I also suggest adding a BCAA/EAA supplement like 5% Nutrition All Day You May. This will help the body stay in an anabolic state. This is important because training is catabolic. ADYM will also stimulate protein synthesis. See it here: 5% Nutrition ALLDAYYOUMAY – I’ll Pump You Up (illpumpyouup.com)

Don’t forget your protein powder, another cornerstone product. Find your favorite here: Protein – I’ll Pump You Up (illpumpyouup.com)
