Get Ready For Spring

Do you want to get ready for spring? By that I mean get in shape for nice weather? It begins with losing body fat. Eradicating bodyfat is the American obsession. We spend billions of dollars a year trying to starve it off. Or, medicate it off, melt it off or suck it off. Much of that effort and those dollars are for nothing. Some people have come to think of body fat control as a lost cause.

Get Ready For Spring – Losing BodyFat Doesn’t Have To Be Complicated

I don’t get it. All the hype only obscures the truth. Losing excess fat and keeping it off doesn’t have to be a complicated process. Yes, all the advances in nutrition and metabolic research give us an advantage in the battle. Still, controlling body fat is mostly a matter of common sense. Forget the crazy diets.

Get Ready For Spring – How Do The Olympians Do it?

How do bodybuilders and fitness athletes stay lean despite the voluminous calories they consume? First, there’s six-time Ms. Olympia Cory Everson. She’s known for her love of Snickers bars. Not a healthy snack. Still, she engages in some type of physical activity every day. Ronnie Coleman combines the treadmill and stair-climber. Melissa Coates does interval training on a treadmill set at a challenging grade. So we see that there’s more than one way to lose fat and get ready for spring.

You’re Not Gonna Get Lean Sitting On The Couch – Be More Active!

Be physically active to some degree every day. That is one “secret” to body fat control. Research on dieters finds that those who exercise regularly usually keep the weight off.  Those that don’t usually gain it back. Sometimes they gain more fat than they lost. So get moving to get losing.

Get Ready For Spring – Muscle Burns Fat

Muscle mass, of course, is the other “secret” to body fat control. Yes, you should include weight training if you want your fat-loss program to be truly successful. Muscle is more metabolically active. Therefore, muscle burns calories even when you’re not training. That metabolically “inert” body fat doesn’t burn many calories. However, in excess it does contribute to undesirable hormonal and other changes. These changes can soften your physique. Additionally, it can hasten the development of heart disease and cancer.

This is why the bodybuilding lifestyle is your best medicine for a hard body and good health. It’s also why it’s the best way to get ready for spring.

Food is the other part of the weight-control battle. Again, the commonsense approach is to eat low sugar, moderate carb, healthy fat, and high-protein meals. Starvation and fad diets may take off a few pounds fast. Yet it’s mostly water weight. They’re not a permanent solution. They can have dangerous, even fatal complications. Those healthy meals, meanwhile, provide you with lots of whole foods. These foods give you nutrients to keep you glowing with vitality.

Don’t Forget Supplements

If you’re losing fat, there are a few supplements you should be using. First, calorie restriction also means nutrient restriction. Take a multivitamin! Second, less calories means less protein. Are you a bodybuilder? Are you someone training to get in better shape? Make sure you have a protein powder handy. This ensures you are meeting your daily protein requirements. Better still, you’re doing it without an excess of calories. Finally, take a good fat burner. You can go with a stim-based thermogenic. Or, you can use a stim-free product. Either way, it will help you lose fat and get ready for spring.
