NOW Waxy Maize typically contains 90% amylopectin, most corn starch products contain 70-75% amylopectin. Amylopectin is absorbed more slowly and is used more easily by muscle tissue, where it is converted into glycogen. Glycogen provides an extended source of glucose to meet the body’s energy needs.
