The name Sustanon 250 refers to the strength of this product’s 4 key ingredients. 4-Androsterone or 4-DHEA is a prohormone designed to convert directly into testosterone. The various terms at the end of each version refer to different “esters” that are attached to the 4-andro molecule. Esters affect how quick the hormone absorbs and acts in the bloodstream: (1)

Propionate – This is a short-acting ester that provides quick but short-lived hormone release.
Enanthate – Here’s a long-acting ester that requires less frequent dosing.
Isocaproate – This is a medium-acting ester.
Decanoate – Here’s a long-acting ester that creates a slow, sustained release of 4-andro.

3 Beta-hydroxy-5 alpha-androstan-17-one – 100mg

Androsta 3,5-dien-7,17-dione (as Arimistane)

This ingredient is also called 3-deoxy-7-oxo-DHEA. It’s a metabolite of 7-Keto DHEA, which does not convert into testosterone or estrogen. It’s technically a suicide aromatase inhibitor (AI), which means it will bind permanently to the aromatase enzyme and prevent estrogen rebound of any kind.

In addition, this ingredient has been suggested to help reduce cortisol levels (cortisol is the destructive catabolic hormone). Furthermore, this compound increases luteinizing hormone (LH) as well as levels of testosterone. There’s even more – Hi-Tech Arimistane also helps lower the amount of circulating estrogen in the body. Finally, in its role as a suicide inhibitor, it decreases the amount of androgens in the body that can be convered into estrogen.

Prolensis (Bulbine)

This is an ingredient that has hundreds of years of use as an aphrodisiac. It has been suggested to increase levels of serum testosterone levels, Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH), and Luteinizing Hormone (LH). On top of that, Prolensis has been suggested to help decrease estrogen levels in the body, which in turn will help create an anabolic environment. (2)

The concept of “bad” and “good” estrogens reveal the impact different types of estrogens can have on the body.

As an example, “bad” estrogens refers to strong estrogens such as E2 (estradiol) and the metabolite 16-hydroxyestrone, which promotes inflammation, while “good” estrogens are estrogens that are associated with metabolites like 2-hydroxyestrone, which block the bad estrogens. (4)

Fenugreek 50%

Fenugreek is an herb that is commonly known in Ayurvedic medicine and has extensive use as a tonic that relieves such health conditions as fever. This compound is better known as Horny Goat Weed. This is a plant that’s found across Asia and the Mediterranean and traditionally used as an aphrodisiac. The active ingredient is known as icariin which blocks PDE5 activity. PDE5 is an enzyme that interferes with the production of nitric oxide. Icariin enhances blood flow to the sexual organs, which improves performance and stamina.

Mucuna 15%

Mucuna pruriens is a tropical legume also known as the velvet bean, an ingredient that propels an entire brand of supplements, which tells you just how popular it is. Like most herbs, Mucuna has been used for centuries in Ayurvedic medicine for its aphrodisiac, revitalizing, and nervous system healing properties.

The active ingredient is L-DOPA, which the brain converts into the neurotransmitter dopamine. Dopamine is involved in mood, motivation, and movement.
