It’s Proffee Time!

|

If it’s morning, it’s Proffee Time! Of course you can enjoy a cup of coffee whenever you want to, not just in the morning. However, as a serious lifter, your first concern in the morning should be to get some protein. After all, you’ve just woken up from at least a 7 hour night’s sleep – probably longer. When was the last time you had protein? No doubt it’s been a while, which means you’re in a catabolic state, and that needs to change. So why not drink a protein shake and cup of coffee at the same time – Proffee! Let’s go make one right now!

List Of Ingredients

  1. You’ll need your coffee pot and your blender.
  2. 6 oz Brewed Coffee. It’s your choice of brand and strength. I used 2 scoops of Colombian Coffee for 6 oz of water.
  3. 1 Scoop Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Whey, Extreme Milk Chocolate flavor.
  4. 6 oz Fairlife Fat Free Ultra Filtered Milk
  5. ¼ Cup Breyers Carb Smart Ice Cream, Vanilla

How Long Will This Take To Make?

This Proffee is so simple, it’s probably the easiest recipe you will ever make. After all, it’s just coffee and a protein shake wrapped up into one amazing drink.

Supplement Suggestions

Since this delicious Proffee contains caffeine, you won’t want to drink it too close to your workout. Why? Because if you’re like me, you might be using a stim-based Pre, such as Panda Supplements First Blood. This is an excellent product featuring 10 grams of citrulline and 3 different sources of caffeine: 300 mg of caffeine anhydrous, 150 mg of dicaffeine malate, and 100 mg of caffeine citrate. As you can see, there’s no need for even a little more caffeine from your Proffee.

Of course, you’ve got your protein powder, so the remaining supplement list should include creatine. I suggest AllMax Nutrition Creatine Monohydrate. This formula uses patented CreaSyn® micronized creatine monohydrate.

Finally, don’t forget a multi, such as Beverly International Super Pack. This is a classic formula that is a well-dosed, complete multi-vitamin.

Once you have your cornerstone stack, add some additional products that can help you reach your goals. For example, I usually add an EAA powder. Why? Because I can support protein synthesis at the proper times by drinking a powder high in leucine that also has all the supporting aminos.

An important point to make is to make sure your nutrition is dialed in and on point. Avoid junk foods, and focus on clean, healthy choices. As many of you know, I advise consuming 50% of the day’s carbs (and all your simple carbs) in the timeframe around your workouts. I also advocate 1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight, spaced over 5-6 meals/shakes.

Summary

As with all our recipes, our Proffee tastes incredible. This is a recipe that serves a dual purpose, is super-easy to make, and can be taken with you if you’re on the go.
