It’s time for a Vanilla Protein Mug Cake instead of a vanilla protein shake! If you’re getting tired of protein shakes, mix it up with a Mug Cake, undoubtedly a delicious option! List Of Ingredients

  1. Large microwave-safe mug, lightly sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. 1 Scoop Rule 1 R1 Whey Blend, Vanilla Ice Cream flavor.
  3. 1 Tbsp Almond flour.
  4. ¼ Tsp Baking Powder.
  5. 1 Whole Egg.
  6. ¼ Cup Fairlife Low-Fat Ultra-Filtered Milk.

Vanilla Protein Mug Cake Recipe Directions

  1. Lightly spray your mug with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Mix in your wet ingredients using a small wire whisk or a fork.
  3. Add in your dry ingredients and mix well.
  4. If your mixture seems too dry, you can add a small amount of milk.
  5. Microwave for 120 seconds, checking periodically.
  6. You know it’s done when a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out clean. 
  7. Let your Vanilla Protein Mug Cake cool for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Top with anything or nothing at all – whichever you prefer. Then sit down and enjoy!

Variations

  1. Feel free to use any flavor of Rule 1 R1 Whey Blend that you prefer. It just so happens that vanilla is my favorite flavor.
  2. Feel free to substitute almond flour with  regular all-purpose flour. You could use coconut flour, but I find it has a grainy, gritty texture. Also remember any changes you make will also change the macronutrient profile. 
  3. Try adding cinnamon for a great flavor enhancement.
  4. You can add any toppings you want, such as sugar-free Cool Whip, nuts, low-sugar caramel sauce, or Breyer’s Carb Smart ice cream, to name a few. Change your macronutrient profile accordingly.

Supplement Suggestions

Your primary supplements should always be based on cornerstone products as suggested in all of my articles. Remember that quality food comes first and supplements are just that, a “supplement’ to a clean diet.
