What About Sodium?
The only real downside to eggs and egg white protein is the sodium content. One whole egg contains 62mg, and there’s 46mg in the egg white from one large egg. This type of use is largely determined by the digestion speed of each type of protein. Since Proven Egg is a medium digesting powder, that could work for those periods when you will go several hours between meals. Lifters should be putting a lot of thought into the digestion speed of the protein powders they use. It’s important to understand how that relates to their timing of protein.
How To Use It
As per the directions, mix one scoop of Gaspari Nutrition Proven Egg with 4-8 ounces of water, almond milk, coconut milk, or the beverage of your choice.
As noted, I suggest using Proven Egg in-between meals. While it can be used post-workout, the best protein to use post-workout should be whey, which is a fast-digesting source. Proven Egg could also be used before bed, but most lifters want the advantage of a slow digesting protein such as casein.
The bottom line is that you can use it whenever you want, but I advise catering its use to take advantage of the medium speed rate of digestion.
